MEET HILARY
If we make simple, common sense changes to our eating and lifestyle we can feel our best and live to our fullest potential. Many of us stick with bad habits that impact how we feel, but I am living proof that it is never too late to change and taking control of your own heath is worth it.
I have always been “healthy” and have pursued an interest in nutrition most of my adult life, but just prior to my 50th birthday I had a big wake-up call. I was diagnosed with Type1 Diabetes, an autoimmune disorder, and came face-to-face with some of my own bad habits, particularly my addiction to sugar. After the initial shock of my diagnosis, I got busy learning as much as I could about how to manage my disease through nutrition and exercise to live a long, healthy life. I made some specific changes in my eating and discovered the true power of food and its effect on our overall wellbeing and have never looked back. These sensible changes were not monumental, but rather simple and sustainable and now I feel great knowing that I am supporting my health every day.
Soon after making my own health changes, I studied for a year and became certified as a health coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Now, I am passionate about helping others who want to optimize their own health. I take a holistic approach to my work with clients and understand that each person has their own relationship with food and their own health goals. My work is to empower my clients to put themselves and their health first and to encourage small changes or tweaks to their diet and lifestyle that will advance their progress to more energy and vitality. The journey to better health is inspiring and can often be a revelation. We can all enjoy robust health and it is never too late to start to make healthier choices.
I’d love to chat with you about your own healthy goals and journey. Contact me below, let’s get started!
